Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian aid organization that provides assistance in more than 70 countries to populations in distress, to victims of natural or manmade disasters and to victims of armed conflicts, without discrimination and irrespective of origin, religion, creed or political affiliation.
The Compensation & Benefits Officer is part of the OCB Compensation & Benefits unit. The team is composed of two other C&B officers, a mobile implementation officer and a Compensation & Benefits referent. The C&B officer also interacts closely with Compensation & Benefits teams in the other Operational Centres and sections. The purpose of this role is to provide expert guidance to Cell HR officers and other operational stakeholders, contribute to the development of MSF’s global Compensation & Benefits policies, and translate them into OCB-specific policies and reward systems.
Design and oversee OCB remuneration and benefits system aligned with global policies and local operational needs.
Ensure coherence with other MSF Operational Centres’ HR frameworks.
Monitor policy implementation and propose data-driven changes for improvements.
Collect feedback to enhance policies and develop new initiatives.
Provide targeted support and guidance to Cell HR Officers and HRCOs.
Deliver proactive training and information to internal stakeholders.
Score country program positions using Hay Methodology and MSF mapping tools.
Represent OCB in international HR platforms and working groups.
Maintain and advance MSF Rewards Frameworks across operations.
Advocate for OCB’s specific HR needs in intersectional meetings.
Participate in working groups on intersectional HR policies and topics.
Leverage data to create tools and policies aligned with IDRH mandates.
Identify risks and opportunities in HR change implementation.
Assess social, legal, and financial implications for recommendations.
Communicate HR changes clearly and coherently to stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, finance, or related field.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Compensation & Benefits or HR specialist role.
International HR experience with MSF or other INGOs is a strong asset.
Experience or knowledge of Hay methodology is an advantage.
Strong ability to communicate complex messages clearly to different audiences.
Collaborative team player understanding organizational challenges and change processes.
Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of MSF OCB HR processes and tools is an asset.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
Knowledge of French is a strong asset.
Fixed-term contract (100% or 80%)
Duration: 8 months, from 1 December 2025 to 31 July 2026
Possibility of contract extension based on performance and needs
